Should have added here...formal charges should have been pressed on all of the adults who participated. The only way they will learn will be to have to deal with the consequences of their actions. They should have been curtailed and sent packing. The soldier in uniform should be a civilian now...
Please. Don't let this epidemic of bad behavior go uncontested. Report it and the person engaging in it.

Thank you for sharing this experience on this public blog. I also have experienced and witnessed this kind of shocking behavior by military family members in KMC public facilities. I've been on the receiving end of a tongue lashing from very rude, disrespectful 20-something mother because I asked her to have her children join her at her table rather than spread out all over ALL the chairs in a public place - leaving not a single chair for anybody else in the place to sit.
It seems to me that civility, courtesy and respect for those around us and to those obviously older than you has gone out the proverbial window! I've heard the "f-word" in conversation at a restaurant table. When I asked the waiter to have them clean up the language, the waiter took a rude comment from these people (all in uniform).
What has happened to "the Golden Rule?" Who parented these young people so that they believe they are entitled to disrupt the peace of those around them? My dad used to say, "your rights end where my nose begins!" That includes my ears!
I don't believe asking people who would act like the people who would act and talk like this in a public place and be disrespectful and rude to others in this way would do any good. They don't seem to have any moral character - and that is something that must be taught at home. Too late for these people, I fear. That only means that the rest of us around them will have to just pick up and move away from these self-entitled sociopaths. Pity. It seems we are living with a generation of them.
I'm glad I was raised right...and learned to respect the right to peace and quiet of others in a public place. Moral and personal integrity and grace are learned at home. These people didn't get any training.
